About Karolien van den Akker
Karolien conducts contract research in the field of consumer behaviour. She is employed at Centerdata since september 2018 as a researcher at the unit Consumer Research within the Policy Research & Analytics department.
Karolien obtained master degrees in Health and Social Psychology (Maastricht University) and Nutrition and Health (Wageningen University) in 2010 en 2012. During her PhD at Maastricht University she focused on experimental research into the role of learning processes in (unhealthy) eating behaviour. After this, she worked as postdoctoral researcher and assistant professor at the same university.
