Online survey research

CentERdata is at home in various types of online survey research: one-time research, panel research, experimental research, preliminary policy research, and evaluative research. Do the questions in your research address audiences at large? Does your questionnaire involve a complex routing? Would you like to question a specific target audience? We are eager to be of assistance!

Advantages of online survey research

Online panel research has many advantages compared to more traditional research methods.

Fitting research design

Online panel surveys can be fitted to make sure you obtain the right data from the right people. No more, no less. We can use information from previous studies to select respondents. We can also spread surveys over time to make sure respondents do not have to face needlessly long questionnaires. Repeated surveys with the same batch of respondents are relatively easy to carry out, making changes easy to measure.

Ideal research situation, reliable procedure

Respondents are free to decide when they complete their questionnaire and do so at their own convenience. Therefore, they can also take their time to answer open questions. Panel members complete questionnaires anonymously, which makes their answers less likely to be image-enhancing and more reliable in case of privacy-related and sensitive topics. Moreover, as there is no interviewer, there are no interviewer effects.

Rapid data delivery

An advantage of online panel research is rapid data delivery. One week after administering the questionnaire, we deliver the data to you through the standard procedure (SPSS system file with labels). We can also arrange for the data to be delivered to you in other formats that might be convenient to you.
