Position: Senior researcher at the Quantitative Analysis department
Before his transfer to CentERdata, Klaas worked as a senior researcher with the Econometrics department of CentER Applied Research, which he joined in 1993. Before that, he worked as a researcher at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he obtained his PhD degree on microeconomic definitions of poverty. As a researcher at the Econometrics department, he was engaged in contract research and gained a lot of experience as project manager. His research specialization is in quantitative microeconomic research in the field of incomes and labour market behaviour of people and households, taking a particular interest in poverty, pensions, microsimulation, and international comparisons in these fields.
