Jan Nelissen Position: Senior researcher at the Quantitative Analysis department
In 1993 Jan obtained his PhD degree in the field of policy research and applied research. Recent research specializations concern the development of microsimulation models and the use of the Stated Preference method. Examples of microsimulation applications are labour estimation models for the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science (OCW) and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), and the development of a prognosis model for health care demands on behalf of the Health Care Insurance Board (CVZ) (for a demo, see http://cdata12.uvt.nl/zorgprognosedemo). The Stated Preference method has been used to investigate the optimum design of post-initial training, environmentally friendly investment subsidies, and conditions of employment.
